Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
RE: Extension of Report Submittal Date,Herman and Helen's Marina,Venice Island Ferry,
Stockton,CA
Dear Mr. Rowe:
This letter is intended to document our telephone conversation of earlier today regarding an extension of
the due date for submittal of a report of findings for the additional soil and groundwater investigation to
be conducted at the property adjacent to the east portion of the above referenced site. Your letter dated
June 30,2000, indicated that the report was to be submitted not later than September 1, 2000. In
subsequent voice mail messages,I requested that you consider extending the report due date to a time
that would allow the fieldwork to occur after the middle of September. This would allow access to the
property after the corn planted in the location of the proposed borings was harvested. In our subsequent
telephone conversation today, you indicated that this was an undesirable delay and might push the work
into the rainy season(thus, creating an access problem due to muddy conditions). In response, I further
indicated that there were several obstacles to overcome to meet the schedule. The following activities
need to be completed:
1. The Amendment to the Work Plan (dated May 27, 1998)and Work Plan Addendum(dated July 9,
1998), dated July 24, 2000, prepared by Condor Earth Technologies,Inc. (Condor),was submitted to you
on July 28, 2000, in response to the above referenced letter dated June 30, 2000. Your approval of the
Amendment is pending.
2.A site access agreement with the adjacent property owners must be obtained. The final apparent
obstacle in receiving the site access agreement concerns insurance coverage required by the adjacent
property owner. The adjacent property owner has required insurance coverage that Condor does not
routinely carry. However, Condor is meeting the additional insurance demands with additional funds.
Therefore, if there are no further delays related to the demands of the adjacent property owner, the site
access agreement should be executed in the near future.
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
http://www.condorearth.com
