Versar - McLaren/Hart <br /> sa <br /> 3 1 Hazardous Materials Use and Storage <br /> There were no hazardous materials observed on the Site However, gasoline stations and <br /> automobile repair facilities typically use and store hazardous materials including fuels, oils, <br /> greases, and solvents With the exception of the on-site remediation system and groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, no evidence of spills or releases of hazardous materials outside the buildings or <br /> to the subsurface was observable during the Site visit <br /> 32 Solid and Hazardous Waste Generation, Storage, and Disposal <br /> One solid waste dumpster was observed in the rear of the Bridgestone building There <br /> were no hazardous wastes observed on the Site However, previous activities on the Site would <br /> typically generate hazardous waste such as waste oil, waste antifreeze, used batteries, and waste <br /> solvents No evidence of improper storage or disposal practices of hazardous waste was <br /> observed at the time of the Site visit <br /> 33 Discharges to Water <br /> Versar did not observe process water discharges from the Site that would require <br /> pretreatment or a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, or any <br /> other federal, state, or local permit or approval There are no activities conducted on the Site <br /> with a Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code that would require filing an application for <br /> an NPDES stormwater permit <br /> On-site stormwater drains are located throughout paved parking areas Stormwater is <br /> diverted into the public stormwater mains and is eventually discharged into the Stockton <br /> Channel <br /> 34 Releases to Air <br /> Versar observed one point source air emission at the Site The groundwater remediation <br /> system located on the Site would require an air permit, however, the system is currently not in <br /> operation Additional federal, state, and/or local air emission permits are not required for other <br /> operations conducted at the Site <br /> -10- <br />
