Samples will be taken <br /> using anjEPA--approved polyethylene bailer. The groundwater <br /> samples will be placed in 40-milliliter glass vials, acidified to <br /> ensure a ;,pH below 2 . 0, 'sealed without headspace or bubbles using <br /> TeflonR septa screw-caps, labeled, and placed on ice in an <br /> insulated cooler for transport .:for analyses to the GTEL facility <br /> in Concord, California. The samples will be accompanied by <br /> Chevron' s' Chain-of-Custody Documentation. The groundwater <br /> samples will be analyzed for the presence of BTEX and TPH-as- <br /> gasoline 'usincg modified .EPA Methods 5030/8020/8015. <br /> WASTE DISPOSAL <br /> 3' <br /> Once ii; the laboratory results from the soil and groundwater <br /> samples have been obtained, -the-waste will .be disposed of at an <br /> appropriate facility. All waste streams will be profiled <br /> according, to the selected facility requirements. If any of the <br /> 3 <br /> waste is ,identified as hazardous, it will be manifested for <br /> transport according to the appropriate Department of <br /> Transportation (DOT) regulations. <br /> r . <br /> WELL SURVEY <br /> To document the locations of groundwater wells' in the <br /> vicinity of the site, a well survey will be performed. The <br /> survey will involve a review 'of the available driller's logs from <br /> wells within a one-half-mile radius of the site. These driller's <br /> logs are available at the Department of Water Resources (DWR) in . <br /> Sacramento, California.
