Page 2
McBilllrn Real Estate Investment Property September 13 , 2012
2154 South El Dorado Street
Stockton , California 9520E
Assuming petroleum hydrocarbon contamination is detected at this site, AGE proposes to install
monitoring wells, screened between 20 and 40 feet bsg , to total depths of 40 feet bsg using a
CME-75HT drill rig while collecting soil samples at five-foot intervals . AGE proposes to submit
an addendum to this work plan with the proposed number and locations of monitoring wells
based on the findings from the initial investigation.
The EHD has reviewed the soil analytical results included in this work plan from the UST
removals completed in October 2010, and the groundwater analytical results submitted in Phase
11 Environmental Site Investigation, dated 14 July 2008 , prepared by ROKEN Engineering
Services. The EHD recommends that the proposed borehole northeast of the former 7 , 500-
gallon UST and northwest of the former 3, 000-gallon UST be relocated west of the former
southern-most 1 ,000-gallon UST. This recommendation is based on soil samples collected at 9
feet bsg at the west side of the former southern-most 1 , 000-gallon UST where significant
concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination were detected , and grab groundwater
samples collected from sample location GW-8 near the southwest corner of this site during the
phase 11 investigation where high concentrations of contaminants of concern were detected .
With this condition , the EHD approves the advancement of the initial four proposed soil borings .
- - -
Please submit a boring permit application; Master File Record form, and permit/inspection fee o
$500 . 00 to the EHD and complete the field work by 13 November 2012. Submit the report of
findings to the EHD within 60 days of completing the field work.
The EHD will not comment on the three proposed additional soil borings, or the proposed
monitoring wells until the report of findings from the initial investigation is submitted to this
agency.
Please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852, or by email at vmccartnevpsicehd. com if
you have any questions regarding this letter.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
