Personnel Training and Spill Prevention Procedures <br /> o Personnel Instructions <br /> All existing and new employees who could potentially be involved with the loading, <br /> unloading,or transportation of petroleum receive training in hazardous material handling and <br /> spill prevention.These employees also receive a hazardous material handling/spill prevention <br /> refresher training program annually which includes the following training topics: <br /> + an introduction to pollution control laws; <br /> • rules and regulations pertaining to the use and storage of petroleum products; <br /> + inspection, operation and maintenance of spill equipment, and chemical storage <br /> and dispensing equipment; <br /> + spill response and cleanup; <br /> + spill notification and record keeping; and <br /> + spill prevention practices. <br /> Records of attendance at training and topics covered shall be maintained by the SPCC <br /> Coordinator. The annual training shall be documented to include the instructor's name, <br /> course outline,date and duration of training, attendant's names and signatures, and corrective <br /> action list for areas in need of improvement, if any.
