12/13/94 Received Preliminary Environmental Investigation Report (PEIR) dated <br /> December 7, 1994 prepared by GeoStrategies, Inc. Analytical results <br /> indicated TPH-g and BTEX impact to soil and groundwater in the area <br /> of MW-1 and MW-2. <br /> 12/29/95 Implementation of"Work Plan for UST Cavity Excavation and <br /> Installation of Monitoring Wells" dated October 25, 1995 prepared by <br /> Horizon Environmental, Inc. (Horizon) was postponed. (This proposed <br /> work was never implemented.) <br /> 01/22/96 Received letter dated January 16, 1996 from Horizon requesting <br /> postponement of the above-mentioned proposed work for the duration <br /> of the winter months. The letter also asserted the site to be a low risk <br /> site and that no active remediation may be necessary in accordance to <br /> Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Report on Leaking <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup. i <br /> 09/09/96 Mailed comment letter requiring submission of a workplan for complete <br /> soil and groundwater assessment of the contamination on site. <br /> 3 <br /> 04/03/97 Implemented work proposed in "Work Plan for Additional Subsurface <br /> Investigation" dated March 13, 1997 prepared by Horizon. 2 additional <br /> monitoring wells (MW4, MW-5) to 20 feet bsg were installed, and 11 <br /> hand-augered soil borings to 8 feet bsg were advanced in the vicinity of <br /> the former UST. Soil and groundwater samples were collected for <br /> laboratory analyses. <br /> 09/02/97 Mailed comment letter recommending additional investigation. Work <br /> implemented on 04/03/97 failed to define either vertical or horizontal <br /> extent of the contamination. ! <br /> �€ 1 <br /> 02/19/98 Implemented work proposed in "Work Plan for Additional Subsurface i <br /> Investigation" dated January 27, 1998 and " Addendum to Work Plan" <br /> dated February 10, 1998 prepared by Horizon. 8 Geoprobe soil borings ° y <br /> to 20 feet bsg, 1 boring to 25 feet bsg, and 1 boring to 14 feet bsg were <br /> advanced at site.
