Findings:
1. Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or
substantially lessen the significant environmental effect identified in the Final EIR.
Mitigation Measures
BR-6. Wetland Delin6kon/Miticiation. The City of Stockton and San Joaquin County shall conduct a
delineation of-jurisdictional waters, including wetlands, prior to construction. If wetlands are
located in areas where they would be impacted by project implementation, a mitigation plan shall
be prepared. Types of mitigation to be considered shall include avoidance, enhancing existing
wetlands and creating new wetlands. Long-term monitoring and maintenance shall also be
addressed. The plan shall ensure that there is no net loss of wetland values or acreage. The
City of Stockton/San Joaquin County shall be responsible for implementing the approved plan.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
impact: Hazardous materials may be present in the road corridor.
Findings:
1. Subsequent Hazardous Materials investi ations. Further records research and field evaluation to
determine the presence of hazardous materials shall be conducted at the time each phase of
road construction is proposed. The Environmental Health Department of San Joaquin County
Public Health Services and/or the California Department of Toxic Substances Control shall be
notified if a contaminated site is identified in proximity to the road corridor. Further investigations
or remediation may be required. Construction activities and the handling of contaminated
materials shall be carried out in compliance with the requirements of the California Department of
Toxic Substances Control and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health:Department.
Impact: Road construction would result in disturbance of an asbestos waste disposal site.
'Findings. _ s
y .. , .
1.
