Facts in Support of the Finding: The potential for traffic safety impacts is discussed in Section 111.D of the EIR. Accident rates on study area roadways are considerably lower than the statewide average for similar roadways. The number of project trips added to these roadways suggests that the project would not cause travel to be less safe than existing conditions. 5.Air Quality a. Generation of Toxic Air Contaminants Potential Significant Impact(G.4): Landfill wastes would generate toxic air contaminants,which would have adverse health effects at nearby sensitive receptor locations/land use. Finding: Based upon the analysis in the EIR,the potential significant impact resulting from generation of P Y toxic air contaminants is less than significant and mitigation is not required. Facts in Support of the Finding: The potential for air emissions is discussed in Section IILG of the EIR. No sensitive receptors would be exposed to substantial levels of pollutants with ambient air quality standards("criteria pollutants"),or to toxic air contaminants for which there are no established safe exposures. �€ b.Increase in Air Pollutant Emissions i Potential Significant Impact(G.6): The project,by extending the number of years the current number of vehicles travel to and from the site,would result in an increase in criteria air pollutant emissions.
