Specific economic, legal, social,technological,or other considerations,make infeasible the <br /> mitigation measures or alternatives identified in the EIR. <br /> The Planning Commission hereby finds,pursuant to Section 21081,that the following potential <br /> environmental impacts can and will be mitigated to below a level of significance,based upon <br /> implementation of the mitigation measures in the EIR,and which are included in the Conditions <br /> of Approval to this Planning Commission's approval of the Use Permit for the Austin Road <br /> Landfill Expansion Project. <br />` 1.Land Use Plans and Policies <br /> a.Introduction of Additional Landfill Uses to the Area <br /> Potential Significant Impact(A.1): <br /> The proposed project would introduce additional landfill uses to an area characterized by existing <br /> landfill uses,agricultural uses, detention center use;, limited residential uses and airport uses. <br /> Finding: <br /> Based upon the analysis in the EIR,implementation of the mitigations to the significant impacts <br /> identified in the Noise,Air Quality and Visual sections of this EIR will make impacts from the <br /> introduction of additional landfill uses less than significant. <br /> I ' <br /> The following mitigation measure will mitigate these impacts to below a level of significance. <br /> Mitigation Measure (Impact A-1): <br /> Implementfeasible mitigations to the significant impacts identified in the Noise,Air <br /> Quality and Visual sections of this EIR <br /> h <br /> Facts in Support of the Finding: <br /> The potential for impacts from introduction of additional landfill uses is discussed in Section <br /> IILA of the EIR. A portable chemical storage locker with double containment system would be <br /> used for temporary hazardous waste storage of hazardous waste intercepted at the landfill. A-- <br /> flood control easement area would be established along the western and northwestern border of <br /> the site to accommodate flooding from the realigned North Branch of the South Fork of Little <br /> Johns Creek. Noise impacts are discussed in Section III.H,Noise;dust and odor impacts are <br /> discussed in Section III.G,Air Quality;and health risks are discussed in Section III.L,Public <br /> Health and Safety,of the EIR. } <br /> 13 <br /> 1 <br /> k <br />
