1.4.7 Cultural Res -cea #
' } Several potential historic resources related to mining and
agriculture have been observed in the proposed project extension
area. No prehistoric cultural resources have been identified,
however the potential exists that some may be present, according
S ' to the results of a site visit reported by Archeological Services
Inc. of Stockton. KRC will attempt to avoid disturbing any
cultural resources. If disturbance becomes necessary in order to
continue quarrying and processing activities, KRC will delay
s disturbing any cultural resources until they have been surveyed,
recorded, and mitigated in accordance with County Community
Development Department requirements.
1.4.8 Socioeconomics
Since this project extension will not result in any substan-
tial increase in production rate, the socioeconomic impacts of
the proposed activities are expected to be the same as those
3 resulting from current activities in Permit QX-86-1.
1.4.9 Aesthetics
Since the proposed project extension will not result in any
significant change to current operations, approved in Permit QX-
86-1, the aesthetic impacts of the proposed activities are ex-
pected to be substantially the same as those resulting from
current activities in Permit QX-86-1.
• 1.4. 14 Public Health and Safety
Theosed
ro
p p project extension will not be detrimental to
public health, safety or welfare, or be injurious to the property
or improvements in the vicinity and district in which the proper-
ty is located. No significant adverse environmental changes will
result.
1.4. 11 Public Services
Potential impacts to public services derived from the
' direct operational needs of the project as well as indirect
demands created by our employees are minimal. Extension of this
project into the remainder of the reserve holding will result in
no significant increase in the rate of projection or changes in
5 the methods of mining and processing. The number of employees is
expected to remain about the same as at present. Therefore,
-. impacts to law enforcement, schools, fire protection, health
services or solid waste disposal will remain the same as at
present.
 1
KRC Aggregate, Inc.
[ -- 4 - April 1, 1994 i
k
