Our findings, presented in greater detail
elsewhere in this study, indicate the contribution is minimal as follows: (Exhibit B)
Project San
Joaquin
Project Percent of
Crops Total Income Est. Total County Total
Almonds $ 46,111,000 $ 850,700 1.8
Apricots 4,811,000 186,500 3.9
Cherries 35,552,000 149,600 .0.4
Other* 392,404,000 -0- -0-
TOTAL $478,878,000 $1,186,800 0.2
*Other crops include field crops, vegetable crops, seed crops
and other orchard crops.
The subject parcel contributes less than one quarter of one percent of the total farm
income generated in the County from similar cropping programs as measured by the
receipts to the farm. The subject parcels contribute approximately $1.2 million dollars of
y gross dollars ,to the agricultural economy. When compared to the County's entire
agricultural economy the contribution is Iess than one one-hundredth of one percent.
The parcels comprise approximate) one tenth of one ere
Y percent of the total farmland
under cultivation in the County. The combined parcels are approximately 1.8% of the
almond acreage in the County with less than 4% of the County's apricots and less than one-
half of one percent of the County's cherry acreage.
These numbers reflect the negligible factor these parcels are to the County's diverse
and rich agricultural industry.
E..
l
ta j P,Qparcd by: the MrCARTY Company
5/1 11/)1
