The impact may, <br /> however,, be: mitigated through negotiations with the District. <br /> The proposed project is not expectedtohave a significant 'impact <br /> on the ability of the Sheriff's Department and � Forest Lake Fire <br /> District to maintain existing levels of protective services. The <br /> full impact of the project will be ascertained at the time of full i <br /> application processing. <br /> TOXICS: f <br /> The project site is located approximately 3 , 000 "fleet north of the <br /> Lodi (Lind's) Airport. The EIR for the Woodson Estates project <br /> (ER-89-4) located south of the project site andon the north side <br /> of Jahant Road indicated that the proximity to the Airport's known <br /> contaminated soils represented it potentially significant, adverse <br /> impact of that proposed residential development. The toxics <br /> E analysis stated that the most likely source of risk from , contact <br /> with toxic materials would be from fugitive dust leaving the <br /> airport. To date no evidence has been submitted to this office <br /> indicating that the presence of toxic materials on the Airport site <br /> reprui3ents a potentially significant impact on future residents of <br /> this project. However, the State Department of Health Services <br /> will be asked to assess and comment on the potential risk prior to <br /> staff making an environmental determination anditaking action on <br /> a the project. <br /> AIRPORT: <br /> �I <br /> The owner of the Lodi. Airport has responded to the preapplication <br /> referral by registering his opposition to the project (see attached <br /> letter) . That . opposition is based on a perceived inconsistency <br /> with: the County' s Airport Land Use Plan (ALUP) , residential <br /> encroachment on the Airport, the impacts of airplane noise on <br /> future residences, and the incompatibility of the two use. Staff's <br /> determination on consistency with the ALUP willl�be made following <br /> the receipt of comments from the Council of Government's Airport <br /> Land Use Committee, the State Division of ,Aeronautics, and the <br /> w Federal Aviation Administration. ? <br /> I <br />
