July 11, 2007 <br /> NOA Project Number: E07094A <br /> The elevation of the Site,according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is about <br /> 25 to 35 feet above mean sea level. The land grades down gently to the west. <br /> San Joaquin County Community Development Department, the Site is zoned R-L Zone, (Low <br /> Density Residential). This zone is intended to, "provide for neighborhoods consisting of detached, <br /> single family residences located within or immediately adjacent to population centers which have <br /> public services (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us, 2007). <br /> 1.2 Proposed Development <br /> The proposed development is to add a septic system which will accommodate high flows during the <br /> Buddhist new year which happens once a year for a duration of approximately five days. The <br /> capacity of the temple is being expanded to 499. seats. A new assembly building is also to be <br /> constructed within the next five years. <br /> 1.3 Site Vicinity <br /> A site vicinity map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 2. <br /> 1.4 Site Map <br /> A site map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 1. <br /> Ll 2.4 PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE <br /> 2.1 Past and Present Site Use <br /> The subject property has one temple, three residences and a meditation center.The rest of the <br /> property is open land.The property has been used for religious purposes. <br /> 2 <br />
