operation of this poultry farm. The expansion of this farm "could" result in a reoccurrence of
our previous problems which were not only a nuisance, but a health risk as well.
Past problems with property owner William Huang:
1. Flies- Environmental Health found excessive fly breeding due to the amount of manure
and dead birds. Our properties were sprayed by-San Joaquin County to help with this
problem.
2. Rodents- Environmental Health found an excessive amount of rats and mice throughout
the farm. These rodents came onto our property on a-daily basis.
3. Runoff waste water and mosquitos- Environmental Health found waste water runoff
coming onto our property and-draining into a naturai drain/local stream.
4. Odors from manure and-incinerator- manure and burning flesh odors that were strong
enough to-prevent us_from being outside and-from opening our windows.
Current problems with applicant Richard Jenkins:
1. Flies- have more flies than we feel we should have. We tolerate the amount by using
sprays daily and by hanging fly strips. See pictures attached. Flies are always a problem
in our family fruit trees. A health concern.
2. Runoff water and mosquitos-water runoff onto the northeast corner of our property has
resulted in damage to our wheat hay crops in the past. No compensation for the loss or
correction of the problem.
3. Odors from manure and incinerator- manure and burning flesh odors that are stronger
than what we have experienced in the past. Prevents us from being outside, from having
guests over, from opening our windows, and from using our whole house fan.
