SITE AND VICINITY GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS The subject property is located within an agricultural area of unincorporated San Joaquin County, southeast of the City of Tracy, California. Figure 1 shows the setting of the subject property (7.5 Minute United States Geological Survey [USGS] Topographic Series, VERNAL, California) and prominent features on the subject property are depicted in the site plan provided as Figure 2. 2.3. CURRENT USE OF PROPERTY Five-acres of the property are currently utilized residentially, with the remaining acreage seasonally utilized agriculturally for the cultivation of row crops (e.g., oats). At the time of the site reconnaissance, the agricultural field was tilled, dry land. 3.0. REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING Geology and The subject property is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Hydrology Province of California, a large, elongate, northwest-trending, asymmetric structural trough. The Great Valley Province has been filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat-lying alluvial plain that extends from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klammath Mountains in the north. Western and eastern boundaries of this province are comprised of the California Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada, respectively. Rocks composing the basement complex of the province have not been completely defined but are believed to be of Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
