05 May 2015
AGE Project No. 14-3119
metamorphic and igneous origins. Northern and southern portions of
the Great Valley Province have been designated the Sacramento and
San Joaquin Valleys, respectively. The subject property is located
within the San Joaquin Valley.
The property is further located within the San Joaquin Valley
Groundwater Basin, Tracy Subbasin (5-22.15). The Tracy Subbasin is
defined by the areal extent of unconsolidated to semiconsolidated
sedimentary deposits that are bounded by the Diablo Range on the
west; the Mokelumne and San Joaquin Rivers on the north; the San
Joaquin River to the east; and the San Joaquin-Stanislaus County
line on the south. The Tracy Subbasin is located adjacent to the
Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin on the east and the Delta-Mendota
Subbasin on the south. All of the above mentioned subbasins are
located within the larger San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin. The
Tracy Subbasin also lies to the south of the Sacramento Valley
Groundwater Basin, Solano Subbasin.
The Tracy Subbasin is drained by the San Joaquin River and one of
its major westside tributaries; Corral Hollow Creek. The San Joaquin
River flows northward into the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta
and discharges into the
San Francisco Bay.
Estimated depth to groundwater beneath the property is between
approximately 30 feet and 40 feet below surface grade (bsg), based
on the map titled Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater Fall 2012
published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control District and
Water Conservation District (FCD&WCD). It is inferred from the map
titled Lines of Equal Elevation of Groundwater Fall 2012, also
published by the FCD&WCD, local groundwater flow is northeasterly
towards the San Joaquin River beneath the subject property.
Topography The property is located at an elevation of 63 feet above mean sea
level (MSL) and in an area of low topographic relief. Regional slope of
the area is toward the general east-northeast.
Surface EDR provides a report listing dominant soil composition in the general
Soils area of the subject property based on information from the United
States Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service
STATSGO (State Soil Geographic Database) soil maps. Soil surface
texture is listed as CAPAY soil, a moderately well-drained clay, in the
Class D Hydrogeologic Group which includes very slow infiltration
rates. Corrosion potential of this soil for uncoated steel is high.
Surface There are no surface water features on the subject property. The
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
