CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER PERMIT
As referenced, construction activity that involves soil disturbances on constructionsites that are
five acres or greater, or which are part of a larger common plan of development or sale, require a
construction stormwater permit. The proposed Chocoholics project will consist of a
development area of approximately one acre. The Civil Engineering firm of Mike Smith
f Engineering of Lodi, California is producing the Site and Grading Plans.
DEWATERING PERMIT
f
Depth to groundwater is approximately 140 feet; consequently, dewatering will not be necessary
during construction activities. Items a. through h., except f., do not apply to the project,
primarily because the facility will receive domestic well water from the City of Clements.
Regarding Item f, new refrigeration units will be operated for both air conditioning and cooling
of the chocolate products. Refrigeration compressors will be sealed, so there will be no
discharge of compressor oil in the condensate. No other
g p types of refrigeration, such as ammonia,
will be used.
f
INDUSTRIAL STORMWATER PERMIT
As stated on Page 2, Item 10 of Attachment 1, Manufacturing facilities where industrial
materials, equipment, or activities are ex osed to stormwater are facilities covered by the
NPDES General Permit No. CA000001 and must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI). However, the
proposed Chocoholics facility will not have manufacturing materials, manufacturing equipment,
nor manufacturing activities exposed to stormwater. Therefore, a Notice of Non-Applicability is
attached, along with the SIC Code for the facility.
Respectfully submitt for the Schenone Specialty Foods Company,
Oor
Don Chesney, R.E.A.
cc: Mr. Mike Huggins, San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health
Attachments:
$400 Permit Fee s
California Regional Water Quality Control Board Letter
Facilities Covered by the NPDES General Permit for Discharges of Storm Water Associated With Industrial Activities
SIC Description for 2066
Notice of Non-Applicability
Photographic Plates
1
Chesnq Consulting i
