The Application Number is PA-0200428 (SA). The document briefly describes plans to
remodel an existing 3,600 square foot building and add 12,600 square feet of manufacturingand
warehouse building space. The Application Referral doesn't describe any wastewater generation or
disposal plans with the exception of a septic tank and leach field areas.
i
Food manufacturing generates high strength wastewater that is not suitable for discharge to a septic tank
system. Because wastewater will be generated from an industrial process, Waste Discharge
Requirements (WDRs) will be required for the discharge of wastewater at the site. The property owner
and/or facility operator shall submit a Report of Waste Discharge (RWD) at least 120 days prior to
discharging wastewater at the site. California Water Code Section 13260 requires submittal of the RWD.
Construction Stormwater Permit
A NPDES General Permit for Stonn Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activities, Order
No. 99-•28-DWQ is required when a project involves clearing, grading, disturbances to the ground, such
as stockpiling, or excavation. Currently, construction activity that involves soil disturbances on
construction sites five acres or greater or which are part of a larger common plan of development or sale
require a construction storm water permit.
Dewatering Permit
The proponent may be required to file a Dewatering Permit covered under Waste Discharge
Requirements General Order for Dewatering and Other Low Threat Discharges to Surface Waters
Permit, Order No. 5-00-175 (NPDES CAG995001). The following discharges rnaybe covered by this
California Environmental Protection Agency
Co Recycled Paper
T-he energy challenge facing California is real.
