At this time, he stated
that he bought the Site in approximately 2006. He recently planted the Site with _
vineyard; prior to that, it was open grazing land. Mr. Kautz was not aware of any fuel
tanks, chemical storage, dumping, or other environmental issues on the Site. He
indicated that one irrigation well is located on the Site. Mr. Kautz stated that a windmill
may have been located on the Site prior to his ownership. He observed it lying on the
ground but could not determine its original location or function. He was not aware of
any other former structures on the Site.
6.0 SITE DOCUMENTS
6.1 Environmental Health Department Records
The EHD was contacted regarding the Site addresses of 21600, 22000, and 22100 East
Frazier Road, Linden. According to Cheryl Field of the EHD, no records are on file for
these addresses (personal communication, October 4, 2011). z
Live Oak requested copies of the EHD well and septic permit files for the Site
addresses. One permit was identified, dated June 2010. The permit was for a new
irrigation well. An existing irrigation well was also depicted in the sketch, but this most
likely refers to the well on the adjacent parcel to the north (also owned by Mr. Kautz).
The address listed on the permit was 22100 East Frazier Road. The permit has been
included in Appendix 4.
7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated sites
through two sub-agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the
LOGE 1129 Page 3
