Animal holding pens, stormwater and treatment ponds, and manure storage area shall be <br /> protected from overflow from stream channels during 100-year peak stream flows. <br /> 4. All precipitation from roofed areas, including the holding pens,manure storage area, <br /> and slaughterhouse, shall be collected and diverted away from manured areas to the <br /> stormwater detention pond. <br /> 5. Areas containing manure shall be managed to minimize percolation of manured water <br /> into soil. <br /> 6. Drained blood shall be segregated from all rinsewaters. <br /> 7. The 30-day average daily dry-weather discharge to the wastewater treatment pond shall <br /> not exceed 30,000 gallons. <br /> 8. The wastewater treatment pond shall be designed, operated, and maintained to ensure <br /> that wastes will be 5 feet above the highest anticipated elevation of underlying <br /> groundwater. <br /> 9. A 2 foot freeboard (from the wastewater) shall be maintained in all wastewater <br /> treatment and stormwater detention ponds at all times. <br /> 10. A HDPE liner,with a minimum thickness of 30-mil, shall be installed in the wastewater <br /> treatment pond, and shall be maintained to prevent detrimental effects of weathering and <br /> burrowing animals. <br /> 11. Public contact with wastewater shall be precluded through such means as fences, signs, <br /> and other acceptable alternatives. <br /> 12. Wastewater shall be discharged to the designated disposal area in agronomic rates and <br /> shall not exceed the average monthly evapotranspiration of the cropland. <br /> 13. The discharge from the wastewater treatment pond shall remain within the designated <br /> disposal area at all times. <br /> 14. There shall be no visible standing water in the designated disposal area for more than <br /> 48 hours in any consecutive 7 day period after application of the wastewater. <br /> 15. Application of wastewater to cropland shall be managed to minimize percolation to <br /> groundwater. <br />
