PA-0500219 OF SUZANNE <br /> SCHENK (C/O MONTE SEIBEL) (APN: 021-048-12) (24400 N <br /> FUHRMAN ROAD, ACAMPO) <br /> The applicant has submitted the above referenced Site Approval application to convert <br /> 576 square feet of an existing 2,496 square foot hay barn to a kennel for a maximum of <br /> 9 dogs. (Use Type: Animal Specialty Services — Kennels, Small Breeding). The kennel <br /> will include twelve 24 square foot wire enclosures. The kennel will house the property <br /> owner's nine dogs, which are pets, of various breeds, and not used for breeding <br /> purposes. The property has a General Plan designation of OS/RC (Resource <br /> Conservation) and is zoned AL-5 (Limited Agricultural, 5 acre minimum). <br /> The project site is located on the east side of N. Fuhrman Road, approximately 1,300 <br /> feet north of E. Jahant Road, northeast of Lodi. <br /> This item has been referred to the Planning Commission due to neighborhood opposition <br /> to the project. Five letters of opposition have been received, along with two letters in <br /> support of the project. <br /> The Community Development Department has the following comments: <br /> Noise <br /> The proposed project is located in the vicinity of several residences. As a condition of <br /> approval, it is recommended that dogs be required to remain inside the kennel building <br /> between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to reduce the potential noise impacts to <br /> neighbors. <br />
