I / <br /> L <br /> A pile of broken concrete and sheet metal was observed along the northern edge of the site. The <br /> debris pile may be the remains of the pre-existing residential structure. No staining or odor was <br /> observed on or around the pile. The pile is not expected to have an adverse impact on the site. <br /> r <br /> Several pieces of wood were unearthed during the grading process. No staining was observed on <br /> the pieces of wood and they are not expected to have an adverse impact onsite. <br /> L <br /> An exposed PVC pipe was observed east of the concrete and sheet metal debris pile. The pipe is <br /> believed to be associated with public utilities and is not expected to have an adverse impact on <br /> 6. the site. <br /> A storm drain was observed in the northeastern corner of the site. It is not expected to have an <br /> adverse impact on the site. <br /> A pole-mounted transformer is located offsite, adjacent to the northeastern corner of the site. No <br /> IN. staining or leakage was observed on the transformer or the ground surface below. The pole- <br /> mounted transformer is not expected to have an adverse impact on the site. <br /> Off-Site Findings <br /> The Marley Cooling Tower Company appears on numerous databases researched by EDR. <br /> L. Several of the incidents have been signed off by the respective lead agencies. Several incidents <br /> in the EDR report, are not signed off. Files for the Marley Cooling Tower Company (MCTC) <br /> were not reviewed. Because some violations have not been signed off and minimal information <br /> is given for other violations MCTC may pose an adverse impact on groundwater beneath the site. <br /> Roy's Auto Wrecking appears on the CA-SLIC and Cal-Sites databases. According to the EDR <br /> report the facility status is listed as REM. Pollutants listed are TPH, Lead and solvents. The <br /> facility also appears on the Cal-Sites databases. According to the EDR report, a Preliminary <br /> Endangerment Assessment is required for the facility. The incident requiring that the report be <br /> ` made is not listed and no further information is given. Due to the estimated flow of ground <br /> water and the unknown status and/or nature of possible releases or violations Roy's Auto <br /> Wrecking may pose an adverse impact to the site. <br /> Franklin High School appears on the LUST and CORTESE databases due to a leaking <br /> ` underground storage tank. According to the EDR report, the release was discovered on February <br /> 8, 1989 and the material is believed to be regular gasoline. The EDR report also states that a <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment workplan has been submitted and that the aquifer has been affected. <br /> Due to its proximity, Franklin High School may have an adverse impact on the site. <br /> Grenwal's appears on the LUST and CORTESE databases due to a leaking underground storage <br /> 6. tank. According to the EDR report, the leak was discovered on July 27, 1998 during tank <br /> closure. Released material is reported to be gasoline. According to the EDR report the aquifer <br /> Lwas affected. The leak is currently being confirmed.
