I
I
!c k4 KLEINFELDER
the intersection of Grant Line Road and the undeveloped road on the western
border of the site. In the aerial photographs reviewed (1957, 1963, 1982, 1993
and 1998), a linear feature that appears to be the Chevron Pipeline trends
. southeast northwest approximately 400 feet northeast of the site. Due to the
proximity to the site, the Chevron pipeline may have an adverse impact on the
site. If contamination attributable to Chevron is discovered onsite, the expense
.' and/or liability associated with any necessary investigation or remediation would
typically fall upon the responsible party ( i.e. Chevron). This conclusion and
recommendation remains the same.
5. Debris was noted scattered throughout the approximate 1-acre yard surrounding
} the offsite residence at 20058 W. Grant Line Road. The debris piles include
wires, pipes, paint containers, appliances, corrugated metal, and mechanical and
motor parts, wood boards„ PVC pipes, automotive batteries, a refrigerator, 5-
gallon and 3'/2-gallon unlabeled metal containers, three 1-gallon motor oil
containers, a 5-gallon mobile tank, two 55-gallon drums, and 1-gallon oil
containers. Two burn piles and a burn canister are located east of the shed
associated with 20058 W. Grant Line Road. No leaking, staining, or stressed
vegetation was observed around the debris. This conclusion and
recommendation remains the same.
E Based upon former ESA findings and this site reconnaissance update, Kleinfelder still
finds the previously mentioned conclusions and recommendations relevant to the
subject site, with the above modifications. The following additional conclusions and
recommendations were developed based on the additional items observed on the
subject site.
`- 1. A PMT was located north of the residence on the site. No, staining was noted
and is not expected to adversely affect the subject site.
2. At least five mobile trailers loaded with debris were located throughout the site.
No hazardous waste, staining or stressed vegetation was noted in association
with the trailers. Kleinfelder recommends the trailers be hauled off the site, and
k - the debris be disposed, or recycled in accordance with Local, State and Federal
regulations. If hazardous materials or staining is located during the removal of
R the debris the signatories of this report should be contacted.
3. Two large trucks are located south of the barn. No staining was noted in
association with the trucks and they are not expected to adversely affect the site.
If the client requires a greater level of inquiry, sampling can be conducted.
4. A domestic well is reportedly associated with the onsite residence, if the well is
E intended for future use, it should be tested for suitability. If the well is not to be
used, Kleinfelder recommends that the well be abandoned in accordance with
local, State and Federal regulations.
76114.P01IST06R10651JCE:ly Page 16 of 1
9 8
02006 Kleinfelder, Inc.
