KLEINFELDER <br /> 5) Debris is scattered throughout the approximate 1-acre yard surrounding the offsite <br /> residence at 20058 W. Grant Line Road. The debris piles include scrap metal such as <br /> wires, pipes, paint containers, appliances, corrugated metal, and mechanical and motor <br /> parts, wood boards, and PVC pipes. Two automotive batteries and a refrigerator are <br /> rw among the debris located west of the residence. Debris around the western side of the <br /> f garage includes 5-gallon and 31/2-gallon unlabeled metal containers and three 1-gallon <br /> motor oil containers in a bucket. Debris piles south of the shed contain two automotive <br /> batteries, an approximate 5-gallon mobile tank with a hose, an empty 1-gallon oil <br /> container, and rusted 1-gallon gasoline cans in a bucket. <br /> 6) Two burn piles and a burn canister are located east of the offsite shed located at 20058 <br /> W. Grant Line Road. <br /> 7) Two 55-gallon drums were observed offsite, one west of the offsite residence at 20058 <br /> r <br /> W. Grant Line Road and one north of the adjacent garage at 20058 W. Grant Line Road. <br /> 8) An approximately 5-foot tall soil pile is located in the southeast corner of the yard <br /> jassociated with the adjacent residence at 20058 W. Grant Line Road. <br /> 9) A fire hydrant is located near the northwestern corner of the offsite residence at 20058 W. <br /> Grant Line Road. <br /> 10)A well situated on a concrete pad is located southeast of the offsite residence at 20058,W. <br /> Grant Line Road. <br /> 9.2 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> We have performed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment in conformance with the scope and <br /> limitations of ASTM Practice E 1527-00 of the approximatelyl 3-acre property located south of <br /> Fi West Grant Line Road (APN: 209-07-023), in Tracy, California. <br /> In summary, this assessment has revealed evidence of potential environmental conditions in <br /> connection with the property: <br /> 1) No "Transite"-like piping was observed during our Phase I ESA. However, on properties <br /> with a history of agricultural use, such as the project site, many underground pipelines <br /> F may exist. It was common for said pipelines to contain asbestos (e.g. Transite pipe). <br /> Subsurface exploration is not a part of a typical Phase I Environmental Site Assessment <br /> iF scope of work. In the event that any subsurface structures are encountered during site <br /> development or excavation on site, care should be exercised in determining whether or <br /> not the subsurface structures contain asbestos. If they contain asbestos, they should be <br /> removed, handled, transported, and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and <br /> federal laws and regulations.
