• In the 1998 photo, the Site and adjacent land to the east and west appear to be
used for growing fodder crops. A few new building clusters can be seen in the
surrounding area.
In the 2005 photo, the adjacent property to the west has been planted with
orchard. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 2014 photo, the Site and the adjacent land to the east have been planted
with orchard. The adjacent property to the south no longer appears to be an
operational dairy. No other significant changes are apparent.
These photos are included as Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Live Oak inspected the site on March 6, 2018. Photographs of the Site are
attached to this report as Appendix 2. The northern, western, and southern
property lines were inspected, as well as the clearing on the eastern side of the
Site.
The Site is an almond orchard. It is bounded by Henry Road on the west side
• and Highway 120 in the south. The northern property line is an unimproved field
road. There is no clear boundary to define the eastern property line; the Site
appears to be farmed in conjunction with the property to the east.
A pumping station is located on the southern side of the Site. A pole-mounted
transformer was observed near the pumping station. The transformer appeared
new and was labeled with a blue sticker indicating that it is free of polychlorinated
biphenyls (PCBs).
A clearing is located on the eastern side of the Site. At the time of the inspection,
a brush pile and several beehives were located in the clearing. A few empty
plastic containers of silicone shaker pad lubricant were observed in and around
the brush pile. A small pile of cable and three tires were located near the brush
pile; they appeared to be associated with the operation of the orchard.
A rural residence with several outbuildings is located on the parcel carved from
the southern side of the Site. An above-ground storage tank approximately 100
gallons in size was observed on the west side of this parcel. The other
surrounding properties are almond orchards, with a few rural residences located
to the south and north.
•
LOGE 1808 3
