• 5.0 INTERVIEWS <br /> 5.1 Interview with Client <br /> Mr. Norton was interviewed by telephone on March 5, 2018. At this time, he <br /> indicated that his mother, Norma Jean Norton, has owned the property since <br /> approximately 1949. He stated that the land is leased to Joey Roche to grow <br /> almonds. According to Mr. Norton, the Site was an almond orchard from the <br /> 1960s through the 1990s, was briefly used to grow corn, then was replanted with <br /> almonds. <br /> Mr. Norton indicated that there are no wells on the Site; irrigation water is <br /> provided by the South San Joaquin Irrigation District. A pumping station is <br /> located on the south side of the Site, he added. <br /> Mr. Norton was not aware of any underground or above-ground fuel tanks, <br /> chemical storage, dumping, buried debris, or other environmental issues with the <br /> potential to impact the Site. <br /> 6.0 SITE DOCUMENTS <br /> • 6.1 Environmental Health Department Records <br /> Hazardous Materials Records <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department was contacted <br /> regarding the Site addresses of 18200 and 18350 South Henry Road, Escalon. <br /> According to Dom Martorella, no records related to hazardous materials are on <br /> file (correspondence, March 14, 2018). <br /> Well & Septic Permits <br /> Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> well and septic permit files for the Site addresses. No permits were identified. <br /> 7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH <br /> 7.1 EPA Databases <br /> The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated <br /> sites through two sub-agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board <br /> (SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC).
