SILVERA PROPERTY, SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Page No. 2 <br /> IV EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> The only structures on the subject property are those that make up the Silvera <br /> homesite. These are located in the NE corner of the proposed remainder 58 acre parcel. <br /> The homesite consists of a main house, a garage, a vacant smaller studio house, a metal <br /> shed, a small barn, and a larger hay barn. The exact age of the house is unknown but it is <br /> at least 50+ years. The house is currently utilizing an on site septic system. The current <br /> system is 15 years old and was installed when the wall of the old cast-in-place septic tank <br /> collapsed. The system consist of a septic tank and 2 - 100 foot leach lines located west of <br /> the house. The Silveras have experienced no problems with their current septic system since <br /> installation. <br /> The neighbors in the immediate area also use on site septic systems. Several of the <br /> neighbors were interviewed to determine the history of septic systems in the general area <br /> and to help in assessing the feasibility of the area for septic systems usage. Howard Rd <br /> LOCATION: 1/4 mile W of NW corner of property. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 40+ years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Consists of a 1250 gallon septic tank, gravel filter, and leach lines. <br /> Tank and filter were installed 10 years ago when old cast-in-place <br /> septic tank collapsed. Original leach lines are still used. No problems <br /> with system except when heavy rains occurred (5 years ago) and tank <br /> had to be pumped out. <br /> OWNER: Ratto <br /> ADDRESS: 9483 S. Borba Rd. <br /> LOCATION: Immediately N of property. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 50+ years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Original system consisting of a septic tank and leach lines still <br /> operable. System is under low load, however, because only one person <br /> living at house.
