SITE SAFETY WORKPLAN AND GENERAL WORK PRACTICES
PERSONNEL: Larry A. Flora, Professional Geologist #4759
Cell Phone: 916-343-2646
ON SITE RESPONSIBLIBILITIES: Oversee drilling operations, air monitoring,
determining when site level will be changed, and arrange for all necessary
inspections.
ADR is responsible for the safety of all ADR and contract workers on site. However,
each contractor shall provide all the equipment necessary to meet safe operating
practices and procedures for their personal on-site (this includes respirators,
cartridges, steel toed boots, ear and eye protection, etc.) and be responsible for the
safety of their workers.
PERIMETER ESTABLISHMENT: Removal and lawful disposal of contaminated soil from
the site requires the establishment of discreet zones at the site to limit the spread of
potentially hazardous materials and to protect working personnel and adjacent
property.
INVESTIGATION-DERIVED MATERIAL DISPOSAL: All soil and water waste generated
by the drilling (including decon water) will be placed into labeled, sealed, 55-gallon
DOT drums for future off-site disposal.
SECURITY MEASURES: The following general work zone security guidelines will
be implemented:
• If warranted, securing the site will consist of barricading the excavation with
orange cones and/or barricade tape.
• The drill site will not be left unattended. Visitors will not enter the work zone
unless they have attended a project safety briefing.
• Visitors who do not have business related to the project will be excluded from
the work area.
