Page 2 IV. PROPOSED AND EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE The proposed septic system is intended to be placed in the center of the property next to a golf course club house. The intended placement of the septic system is approximately 600 yards west of the closest neighbors. There are a few neighbors that are in reasonably close proximity(less than 1 mile)to the subject property. The following information was obtained from interviews of three of these neighbors: OWNER: Roza ADDRESS: 18143 Mac Arthur Drive LOCATION: Adjacent to southeast corner of subject property, approximately 600 yards southeast of the proposed development site. PROPERTY OWNER: 64 years SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, original system install approximately 43 years ago (make-up unknown) still in use. No problems with the system. EXISTING WELL: Yes,Pescadero water district Well "313". This well was constructed in 1953 to a depth of 700 feet. The well provides 55 gallons per minute to 5 or 6 households. The well water is tested per San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division requirements, and was last tested for nitrates in July of 1998. The results of this test indicated that the nitrate level was 2.0 mg/L, which in below the MCL. The current depth to ground water is unknown. OWNER: Rocha ADDRESS: 18020 Mac Arthur Drive LOCATION: Adjacent to the southeastern side of the subject property, approximately 600 yards east of the proposed development site. PROPERTY OWNER: 20 - 30 years SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, original system (make-up and age unknown) still in use.No major problems with the system. EXISTING WELL: Yes, Pescadero water district Well "313". OWNER: Hord ADDRESS: 7890 W. Delta Avenue LOCATION: Approximately 0.8 miles from the proposed development site.
