LIn the 1975 photo, trees have been planted on the subject property to the west of the barn. The adjacent land to the north has been developed into a park. L In the 1982 and 1983 photos, a new structure is apparent on the subject property to the west of the barn. In the 1993 photo, the trees to the west of the barn are no longer so numerous. In the 1998 photo, the orchard and stream are no longer apparent on the adjacent land to the east of L the subject property. Greenhouses can be seen to the north of the structures on that property. In the 2002 photo,the remaining trees have been removed from the area to the west of the barn on the Lsubject property. These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land uses is L limited by the scale and quality of the photos. 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps L Historic topographic maps of the subject property were obtained through EDR. Maps of the Stockton East quadrangle published in 1952, 1968, 1968 photorevised in 1976, and 1968 photorevised in 1987 L were reviewed, as well as a 1914 edition of the Burnham quadrangle. In the 1914 map,a structure and driveway are depicted at the northern end of the subject property,and V, a second structure is depicted at the southeast comer. A drainage crosses the center of the property. Main Street,Walker Lane, and Cardinal Avenue are depicted. l ` In the 1952 map,urban areas of Stockton are depicted to the north and west of the subject property. The structure near the northern end of the property and the drainage crossing the property are no longer shown. The property is depicted as agricultural land, and properties to the east and south are depicted as orchards and agricultural land. In the 1968 map, a second structure is depicted to the north of the structure on the subject property, v and a small patch of orchard is depicted to the west. Two new structures are depicted to the immediate east, and the adjacent land to the east is depicted as an orchard. In the 1976 map,no orchards are depicted in the vicinity of the property. In the 1987 map, orchards are once again depicted. No other significant changes are apparent. L 4
