L <br /> 1, October 31,2005 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05132A <br /> L These maps are included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> L2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property <br /> L from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and <br /> Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr. Caffese on September 19, 2005 and by Dr. Vasti on <br /> October 27, 2005. Copies of the responses have been included in this report as Appendix E. <br /> 1 <br /> In his responses to the questionnaire,Mr.Caffese indicated that he acquired his portion of the property <br /> in 2005 from Angelo Caffese,who had owned the property 45 years. He stated that the property is <br /> currently bare ground but was used for row crops prior to 1980. <br /> V <br /> Mr.Caffese was interviewed in person on September 19,2005. At this time,he indicated that his family <br /> originally owned the entire subject property. Mr. Caffese indicated that row crops such as sugar beets <br /> and beans were grown on the property prior to 1975,and only dry crops such as oats were grown after <br /> that point He indicated that water was provided to the property by a pipeline from the property across <br /> Main Street to the south; after the pipeline was disconnected, only dry farming was possible. <br /> Mr. Cafesse was interviewed by telephone on October 20, 2005 regarding the former underground <br /> storage tank on the subject property(Section 3.1.9). He indicated that he had spoken to Victor Rolleri, <br /> owner of the subject property before the Caffesses,and Mr.Rolleri told him that he had stopped putting <br /> fuel in the tank in 1984. Mr.Rolleri stated that he removed the tank approximately five years ago,Mr. <br /> p Cafesse said. Mr. Rolleri described the approximate location of the former tank to Mr. Cafesse;Mr. <br /> Cafesse met NOA at the property on October 24,2005 and indicated this location as a soil depression <br /> just east of the eastern property line of the subject property. <br /> In his responses to the questionnaire,Dr.Vasti indicated that he purchased his portion of the property <br /> in 1993 from Mr. Cafesse. He stated that the property has not been farmed for over ten years. Dr. <br /> j Vasti stated that farm equipment and oil were stored in the barn on the property,drums were once on <br /> L the property which have since been removed, three small oil stains are present on the property,and a <br /> 500-gallon underground storage tank was installed near the property by Victor Rolleri,the owner before <br /> Mr. Cafesse. He indicated that the house was constructed around 1979; he did not know the <br /> construction date of the bam. <br /> L NOA contacted Mr.Rolleri by telephone on October 28,2005;Mr.Rolleri offered to meet NOA at the <br /> property to indicate the exact location of the former tank.
