L October 31,2005 NOA Project Number. E0513ZA 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION 3.1 Research Methods r NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the t location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address ranges. 3.1.1 Regional [Cuter Quality Control Board NOA reviewed the Leaking Undegrvund Storage Tanks(LUST)list Only 2005),the WaterPurveyorsQuarterly Report on MTBE Quly 2005),and the Spilk,Leaks,Investigations,and Cleanups(SLIC)list(I"Quarter 2005) on file with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)'in an attempt to determine if there are any files present at that agency which note the unauthorized release of a tonic or hazardous agent into the environment on the subject property or within a one-quarter mile radius of the subject property. The subject property was not listed on any of these databases,and no addresses within one-quarter mile of the subject property were found on the databases. 3.1.2 San Joaquin County EnvironmentalHealt6Department According to Kimberly Campbell of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD),no records are on file for the subject property addresses of 5050 and 5113 East Main Street or L 844 South Del Mar Avenue.5 The Underground Storage Tank Site Mitigation List,dated August 5,2005,and the LOP/Non-LOP Sites list, �. dated July 20, 2004, were reviewed at the EHD on September 26, 2005. One listed site was found within one-quarter mile of the subject property: ` Charlie's Auto Parts 4515 E. Main St. The file for Charlie's Auto Parts was reviewed at the EHD on October 15, 2004. The only item L contained in the file was a Notice to Abate dated June 11, 1992 for"excessive waste oil disposed of on land" and "storage of car batteries on bare soil." This site is located approximately one-quarter mile west-southwest of the subject property.
