Tires and abandoned vehicles were observed on the subject property. LA septic system, domestic well,and irrigation well exist on the subject property. • Oil staining was observed in a trailer used for storage on the subject property.$ L 3.3 Past& Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination LNo above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were identified from past of surrounding properties, except for the following: • Surrounding properties have been used for agriculture; agricultural chemicals may have been applied to these properties. • Surrounding properties are dairies,high concentrations of nitrates in the surrounding soils and (3,q groundwater are possible. LOne LUST case was identified at 13475 N.Jack Tone Road. LPonds,including manure ponds, are located on adjacent properties. 4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES L Agricultural chemical residues may remain on the property. No evidence was found, however, to indicate that the chemicals were applied inappropriately. Vl'aste ' %Ttimsfeak and can cause soil and groundwater contaminarion if not cleaned up in a timely manner. .� Leaking oil for a water well pump may contaminate the soil surrounding the well head. If water wells are not properly operated and maintained, they can serve as contamination conduits to L groundwater. Septic systems may be used for inappropriate disposal of hazardous substances. In this (� case there is no evidence to suggest that wells or septic systems may be contaminant pathways on the Lsubject property or vicinity. The LUST case at 13475 N.Jack Tone Road is closed and the environmental impact to the subject Lproperty is expected to be minimal. 8 "44L L
