L ✓ 2.3 Toorah
A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map was obtained from the
San Joaquin County District Viewer. In the map, the Site is depicted as agricultural land
with two structures. The.property is approximately 85 feet above mean sea level in an
area with a slight grade down to the west. Surrounding properties are primarily shown
to be agricultural land with rural residences. This map is included as Plate 4 in
Appendix 1.
3.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH
3.1 Aerial Photographs
Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County
Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1937,
1952, 1963, 1975, and 1983. Two additional photographs, dated 1998 and 2008, were
obtained from the.San Joaquin County .District Viewer_
In the 1937 photo, the northern two-thirds of the Site appear to be orchard. The
southern third appears to be irrigated pasture with two to four small structures along its
western side. Surrounding properties appear to be orchards or pasture with rural
residences along the roadways.
In the 1952 photo, the entire Site appears to be irrigated pasture, and a large barn can
be seen. Several of the former structures can no longer be seen. No other significant
changes are apparent.
In the 1963 photo, no significant changes are apparent.
In the 1975 photo, no significant changes are apparent. The scale of this photo is such
that it is difficult to make site-specific observations.
In the 1.983 photo, a small shed can be .seen to the.north of the.barn.. A garden area is
apparent to the east of the house. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 1998 photo, three or more structures can again be seen on the Site. A large
amount of surface debris is apparent on the adjacent property to the east. Surrounding
properties now appear to be pasture land and vineyards with rural residences.
In the 2008 photo, the debris to the east can no longer be seen. No other significant
changes are apparent.
LOGE7004
Page 2
