L
LNovember S,2004
NOA Project Number: E0401 10A/
L { 3.3 On-Site Septic Repair Permit History
L One septic repair permit was found for the Site during file review at EHD on September 7,2004.
This permit, dated April 25, 1974, stated that the current septic system was to be abandoned and
replaced with a 1,200-gallon septic tank, 100 feet of leach line, and two 33-inch diameter by 25-foot
L deep seepage pits. The septic system was to serve the residence on the Site.
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
LIn an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office reviewed
a 1993 aerial photograph of the subject property available from Microsoft Terraserver. We counted
L the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption that each building
cluster has one septic system. Using this method,we determined that there are a minimum of 40
septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
L3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
L The following septic system permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at
EHD on September 7,2004:
Table 1.
L VicinitySeptic System Permit Summary.
Address,Date Tank Lines,Length,Pits Comments
Capacity
9290]ahmt,11-5-75 1,200 gal Three 40-ft leach lines, three New installation to residence.
6. 36-in diameter by 25-8 deep
seepage pits
9324 E.Jahant,5-21-76 1,200 gal Three 40-ft leach lines,three New installation to residence.
33-in diameter by 25-@ deep
seepage pits
6. 9706 E.Jabant,9-15-99 1,600 gal Three 40-h leach lines,three New installation to residence.
36-in diameter by 25-k deep
se a e its
L ✓ The septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach lines with seepage pits.
3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
L• The following septic system repair permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review
Lat EHD on September 1,2004:
L
3 "04
1
