PlantlAnimal Life:
The Natural Diversity Database does not list any rare, endangered or
threatened, species located on or near the site, referrals have been sent to
the San Joaquin County Council of Governments. If the Council of
Governments determines that the applicant may participate.in the San
Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan
(SJMSCP) and the applicant chooses to participate in the SJMSCP, the
proposed project would be consistent with the San Joaquin County Multi-
Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan, as, amended, as
reflected in the conditions of project approval for this proposal. Pursuant
to the Final EIR/EIS for the San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat
Conservation and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP), dated November 15, 2000,
and certified by the San Joaquin Council of Governments on December 7,
2000, implementation of the SJMSCP is expected to reduce impacts to
biological resources resulting from the proposed project to a level of less-
than- significant. If the applicant chooses not to participate, then the
applicant will be required to participate in a mechanism that provides the
same level of mitigation.
4.a. Air/Climate:
The proposed Revision of Approved Actions application could potentially
generate some dust. Emissions from the equipment and traffic could also
contribute to air quality impacts. The applicant will be required to meet the
existing requirements for emissions and dust control as previously
required by the San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District. A
referral has been sent to the SJVAPCD for their review.
5.a.b. Noise:
The project site is currently an existing quarry operation. No blasting will
occur on site. The surrounding parcels are agricultural operations. The
existing quarry operation use has been in existence for a number of years.
There are few noise receptors in the area, and the quarry will not be
operating at night. The proposed Revision of Approved Actions is expected
to have less than significant impact on noise levels on the surrounding
parcels.
