KASSO ROAD, <br /> TRACY,CA 95304) <br /> The applicant has submitted the above referenced Site Approval application for a skeet shooting <br /> range that will consist of an office, parking lot, one-way access road. and eleven shooting stations. <br /> The hours of operation will be Tuesday through Sunday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Use type: Recreation; <br /> Outdoor Sports Clubs. <br /> The project is located on the northeast side of Kasson Road, 4000 feet southeast of Durham Ferry <br /> Road and Airport Blvd., southeast of Tracy. The 140-acre parcel has a General Plan designation of <br /> A/G (General Agriculture) and OS/RC (Open Space/Resource Conservation) and is zoned AG-40 <br /> (General Apiculture,40-acre minimum lot). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the Site Approval application and offers the <br /> following comments: <br /> TREES AND RIPARIAN HABITAT <br /> There appears to be significant riparian and woodland habitat on this site. The General Plan 2010 <br /> states "resources of significant biological and ecological importance in San Joaquin County shall be <br /> protected. These include wetlands; riparian areas; rare, threatened and endangered species and their <br /> habitats as well as potentially rare or commercially important species; vernal pools; significant oak <br /> groves and heritage trees. "(General Plan 2010,Vol. 1,pg VI-32) <br /> The General Plan 2010 also states: "The County shall protect and restore wetlands habitat and <br /> riparian habitat in part by assessing potential project impacts on the resources and /or requiring <br /> project proponents to mitigate impacts and fund habitat restoration and post-project monitoring <br /> (General Plan 2010,Vol.1, pg VI-36) <br /> The Development Title states: "Parallel to any natural bank of a waterway, a natural open space for <br /> riparian habitat and waterway protection shall be maintained to provide nesting and foraging habitat <br /> and the protection of waterway.quality.The minimum width of said open space shall be one-hundred <br /> (l00) feet, measured from the mean high water level of the natural bank or fifty(50)feet back from <br />
