3. Parcel No. 017-050-07
Owner: Steve Kappos
Location : 200 feet West of Teresi
Age of House: Unknown , appears to have been built
prior to World War II .
Septic System: The existing system is fifteen years
old and has not given any problems .
4 . Parcel No. 170-150-021
Owner : H. Buck , Jr .
Location : 1000 feet South of Teresi
Age of House: Built 1946
Septic System: Built in 1946 and never given a
problem. This was the only owner to have known of dry
wells at the end of his leach field .
Three additional septic systems will be installed on the
Teresi property .
GROUND WATER
The owners of the previously listed properties were also
interviewed as to the ground water depth. That depth was
reported to be 85 feet at 1000 feet South of Teresi , 80 to
90 feet across the street from Teresi , and 100 feet more or
less at 800 feet North of Teresi .
The only accessible well was approximately 1000 feet North
of Teresi and it sounded at 95 feet ( A.P.N. 017-050-04 ) .
The above conflicts with a study by Flood Control and Water
Conservation , Fall of 1985 ( See Exhibit 2) . It appears that
the water table has fallen 15 feet in the last seven years,
but that the generally southerly gradient of the water table
has remained the same at 10 feet per mile. ( See Exhibit 3) .
The owner contacted F .G.L . Laboratory to test the water and
the results of those tests are attached as Exhibits 4A and
43.
SOILS AND PERCOLATION TESTS
The soil is Hanford Sandy Loam and per "Soils of San Joaquin
County" as published by the University of California it is
the predominate soil for a radius of a half mile. When
drilling the percolation test hole we found the soil to be
homogeneous and encountered the typical plow pan laver from
1 to 3 feet deep.
Under permit from the San Joaquin County Health Department ,
percolation tests were run October 7th and 8th. The tests
passed and are attached as Exhibits 50 and 59 .
