Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report****APN: 055-170-11****Parcel Nos.1, 2 and 3 9
APN: 055-250-27
The "DBCP—Land Use Map shows the subject property to be in an area where
DBCP concentrations are known to be equal to or greater than 0.2 ppL.
The "Nitrate—Land Use Map" shows the subject property to be in an area
containing 21 to 44 ppm. nitrate concentrations. .
A potential need for contamination mitigation measures on the subject property
was encountered when the binder entitled"Underground Tank Site Mitigation Database
List", available in the Environmental Health Department's office, was consulted which
listed the address for the subject property as needing such measures. However, further
research, study and contacts with representatives of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board, which was listed as the lead agency for seeing that the possible
contamination be corrected, resulted in the subject property was not being a site needing
any kind of mitigation measures. Neither of these agencies had any knowledge of the site
as needing mitigation measures, as well as,there were no recorded needs for mitigation
measures on the subject property in their records and files. The property owner was also
consulted and he had no knowledge of any such need for mitigation measures. Further,
no underground tanks or contaminated soil were encountered during my field search.
Well Water Analysis: A well water analysis was reported in my Soil Suitability Study
for MS-98-18, approved on August 6, 1998 and is acceptable for the subject property's
land use application number PA-02-347(MS)as stated in San Joaquin Environmental
Health Department's letter dated August 28,2002.
The well water Nitrate (NO3)and DBCP concentrations reported in my Soil
Suitability Study for MS-98-18 are as follows:
Maximum
Chemical Constituent Contamination
Test Dibromochloropronane (DBCP) Nitrate(NO3) Level
WWI-] fmg/L1 1u9JLI ImPJLI
Domestic Wells
Parcell 0.88 56.4 0.2 45
3400 Kingdon Road -.
Parcel 2.10 78.8 0.2 45
Southwest Comer
Irrigation Well
Parcel 0.92 22.2 0.2 45
Only the Nitrate(NO3)concentration for the irrigation well on Parcel 2 is within
the State's standards established for safe public drinking water at 45 mg/L. All the rest of
the test results for Dibromochloropropane(DCP) and Nitrate (NO3)concentrations for
the other wells on the subject property exceed the State's standards for safe public
drinking water established at 0.2 ug/L and 45mg/L for DBCP and NO3 respectively.
Igbaljit&Manjiet K.Rai, Trustees and,3400 West Kingdon Road and,Lodi, CA 95242
Anve k RnQ pm MmMann Tniow 17R4A Nnffh Nnelnv RnAA t mi r'A 95749
