Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report'*APN: 055-170-11****Parcel Nos.1,2 and 3 6
APN: 055-250-27
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office reports that many
chemicals have been applied to the soil concerned with this report from 1998 to the
present time. The chemicals applied during this period are covered in this report and
included in Tables"A" and"B" in Appendix I under"San Joaquin County Agricultural
Commissioners Report".
San Joaquin County Aericultural Commissioners Report: The San Joaquin County
Agricultural Commissioner's Office was requested to access their files and report on any
recorded permit applications and product use applications by the owners of the subject
property over the last five years in Section 18, Township 3 North,Range 6 East, Mount
Diablo Base and Meridian. That office has responded with a report dated January 23,
2003 that lists the agricultural pests that have been treated on the subject property, as well
as the chemicals and the dates of their application to the soil. A summary of the report is
contained in Tables "A" and`B" in Appendix II that is included and made an integral
part of this report.
Groundwater Elevation: The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation Map entitled"Lines of Equal Depth To Water Wells" dated spring 1998,
shows the ground water to be in excess of twenty(20) feet below the ground surface.
Soil Character: The University of California publication entitled"Soils of San Joaquin
County, California",by Walter W. Weir, dated June 1952, identifies the soil on the
subject property to be Hanford Sandy Loam.
HANFORD SANDY LOAM
Hanford Soils are recent alluvial deposits from grinitic and similar quartz bearing
miscellaneous rock sources. They are developed under medium to low rainfall, which
occurs during mild winters followed by long dry summers. They are neutral to slightly
basic in reaction and are medium to fine textured. They are similar to Gmngeville soils
except that they are less compact in the upper topsoil and have better drainage.
The surface soil of Hanford Sandy Loam is brown to light brown, open and
permeable. The surface soil contains transparent isinglass. It can be readily worked into a
seedbed; drainage is good and the reaction is about neutral.
The subsoil begins at about 10 to 15 inches, is slightly lighter brown but
otherwise has about the same characteristics as the surface. Normally the soil is six feet
or more in depth.
Hanford soils occupy level to gently sloping alluvial fans and flood plain
topography. They are smooth and easily irrigated.
Normally drainage of both surface and subsoil is good and erosion is negligible.
Igbaljit&Manjiet K.Rai, Trustees and, 3400 West Kingdon Road and,Lodi,CA 95242
AOOP W Rnc maN Mnixftgm Tmateec 11RdF Nnrth Nrrhm Rnad T ndi r Q'049
