Back-up beepers have frequently been cited as a source of annoyance for residential uses due to the tonal content of the beeping. The following mitigation measure can -reduce this noise impact to less than significant: Front-loaders and other equipment which routinely utilize back-up beepers which will operate at night should be retrofitted with either volume controls (set to the minimum levels required for safety), strobe lights, or radar-based back-up beepers. The recommended mitigation measures to reduce noise impacts to less than significant will require a mitigation-monitoring program. The mitigation -monitoring program is recommended as a condition of approval. All previously approved conditions of approval k shall still apply. This project is tentatively scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on June 6, 2002.
