In reviewing the application and the information submitted the following deficiencies are noted: • A set of 8 1/2 x 11 reduced copies of the plans are required with the application. • The haul routes need to be identified with the application, as well as, the associated traffic volumes. • Show the proximately of this application to the Granite Quarry site as approved in Stanislaus County and how Granite is providing access. The information on the typical sections and the plans is generally too small in scale. for an adequate review. The contour spacing needs to be closer (2-foot or 5- foot contours as appropriate) . The typical sections lack information on the width of the benches, the vertical distance between benches, the side slopes, the compaction required to place the fill slope back against a cut slope, the method of drainage of the benches, details regarding the reclaimed floor drainage ditch. it' s not clear if the ditch is for the purpose of providing irrigation water to the proposed row crops, or to provide drainage for the pit floor, and if ' so where the drainage is being discharged. i For your information we have attached copies of preliminary comments received- to date in response to the application referral.
