" Page 9 _ - West 1_auffer Road Property _ February 16,2006 - Job No. 2836-001 rt side from the far northwesterly portion of the property (apparently used for orchards) the majority of the subject property appears to support vineyards on all of the aerial photographs reviewed. Two rural residential areas are visible on the 1952 aerial photograph on the northwesterly and southwesterly - portions of the property. The addition of three silo structures is apparent at the northwestern residential area on the 1963 aerial photograph. Approximately eight small structures, understood to be "chart houses"associated with the drilling of oil/gas wells, are apparent in various locations on the property on 1963 aerial photography; only three of these chart houses remain visible on 1971 aerial photography. /The mentioned transmission tower and associated building, and areas supporting anchors for tower support lines are first apparent on the 1984 aerial photograph. The southwesterly residential area appears to have added at least three structures (apparent mobile homes) on the 1984 aerial photograph. The transmission tower and associated support line/anchor areas are no longer apparent on the 1993 aerial photograph. The northwesterly residential area appears to support additional structures (modular home and garage) on the 1993 aerial photograph; subsequent aerial photographs show the property much as it appears today. PAST ADJACENT SITE USAGE Jf Information obtained from the sources enumerated above indicates that adjacent and nearby sites have supported agricultural activities (dry crops and vineyards) for over 90 years and has not changed significantly. The 1963 and 1971 aerial photographs indicate that oil/gas well drilling activities occurred on several adjacent and nearby properties. The southerly adjacent McCormick natural gas well (McCormick 41-36) is first apparent on the 1999 aerial photograph.. Our research identified no previous activities of environmental concern adjacent to or very near the subject property. RECORDS REVIEW GENERAL Our effort to determine if there are any significant nearby environmental threats has included a drive-by survey of the surrounding area as well as a review of environmental agency database listings for the subject site vicinity supplemented by our research of local government agency information enumerated in the SCOPE OF WORK section of this report. The search radius for each of the government agency' listings meets or exceeds the referenced 2000 ASTM standard for Phase I environmental assessments. it EDR DATABASE SEARCH Environmental Data Resources (EDR) maintains a large database of environmentally relevant Federal, State, and County information. At our request, EDR performed a search of their database for relevant information and listed sites situated within the vicinity of the subject property. .EDR indicates that the scope of their search both meets and exceeds the referenced ASTM standards for Phase I environmental t" assessments. The results of our review of the agency data are discussed below. Identified Vicinity Sites _ The EDR listing indicates that there have been no reported contamination conditions of a sufficient . magnitude or proximity considered threatening to the environmental integrity of the subject property. The subject property was not identified in the EDR database search. Our review of the appended = listing and our knowledge of the subject area identified no contamination conditions within the immediate vicinity of the subject property.
