Lincoln Road
Stockton, CA 95207
Dear Ms Mo Hatef:
This letter is in reply to your notice regarding a use permit application for child care
services for 30 children at 1104 W. Lincoln Road. Your notice also includes a request from Mr,
Torrente to reduce the number of parking spaces required by code.
We are located directly across the street and one house to the West. WE ARE OPPOSED
TO THE USE OF 1104 W. LINCOLN ROAD AS A DAY CARE CENTER. We are also
opposed to allowing a reduction of required parking spaces. Living where we do limits our
exposure to some of the problems that would be caused by approval of this proposed project.
However it does not eliminate all of them. I will list only the problems that would affect us
directly:
1.The neighborhood would loose it's tranquility. There would be a change of appearance
of the property. Instead of residential R/L, it would be a business. Even with the requested
lowering of the parking stall requirements, the front of the property would take on the
appearance of a business property. Signage of any kind would be completely objectionable.
