• Van Groningen & Sons 39-322, 14255 E. French Camp Rd., Aboveground
Storage Tanks list. This facility is located adjacent to the south of the Site.
However, the shop area is approximately 1,000 feet south-southeast of
the Site. Based on its distance to the Site, the aboveground storage tank
at this facility is considered unlikely to impact the Site.
Live Oak searched the San Joaquin County Haz Mat Viewer on June 2, 2015 for
the Site and nearby facilities with hazardous materials inventories. The Site was
not identified as a hazardous materials handler. The following facilities within
one-quarter mile of the Site were identified:
• Van Groningen & Sons 39-322. This facility is located adjacent to the
south of the Site. However, the shop area is approximately 1,000 feet
south-southeast of the Site. No chemical inventory was reported. Based
on the distance from the Site, hazardous materials handling activities at
this facility are considered unlikely to impact the Site.
• Verizon Wireless Five Corners. Although this facility is mapped to a
parcel approximately 1,000 feet southwest of the Site, it seems likely that
it refers to the communications tower located on the Site. The chemical
inventory lists "diesel fuel no. 2" and "lead acid battery." If the facility is
1,000 feet off-site, hazardous materials handling activities would be
considered unlikely to impact the Site based on the distance away. If on-
Site, the potential exists for spills such as the one discussed in Section
6.1, above, to impact the Site.
• Jon Van Klompenburg. This facility is located approximately 350 feet
northeast of the Site (see Due Farms, above). The chemical inventory
lists diesel, gasoline, oil, and sulfur. Based on the distance from the Site,
hazardous materials handling activities at this facility are considered
unlikely to impact the Site.
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Water Well Data Table dated March 10, 2009 for nearby addresses that have
been tested for nitrate and dibromochloropropane (DBCP). Four wells were
identified at addresses within approximately one mile of the subject Site. All of
the wells had been tested for nitrate; it was detected in all of the wells at
concentrations ranging from 11.0 to 32.0 mg/L. Three of the wells had been
tested for DBCP; it was not detected in any of the three. The Maximum
Contaminant Level (MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 45 ppm. The
MCL for DBCP is 0.2 µg/L.
LOGE 1510 6
