One 7.5-minute map dated 1991 was available through Microsoft / <br /> Terraserver. l <br /> L In the 1991 map, the subject property is depicted as agricultural land. An irrigation canal crosses the <br /> northeast corner of the property. The property is depicted at approximately 115 feet above mean sea <br /> level in an area which slopes down to the west at a rate of approximately eight feet per mile. <br /> i Surrounding land is depicted as agricultural fields with scattered residences. <br /> L. <br /> This map is included� Appen of this report. <br /> L2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property <br /> L from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and <br /> Disclosure Statement was completed by Iris Moffit,owner of the subject pro erty,on October 7,2005. <br /> j A copy of her responses has been included in this report3&Appen . <br /> L <br /> In her responses to the questionnaire,Ms. Moffit indicated that she purchased the property in 1995 <br /> L from Fred Paulus, who had owned the property since approximately 1976. To the best of her <br /> knowledge, the property has always been used for farming and for the rice dryer,which was built in <br /> 1976. Ms.Moffit indicated that Don Brumley is currently farming the ten-acre field. She was unaware <br /> of any tanks, spills,chemical storage areas,or chemical mixing areas on the property. Ms. Moffit did / <br /> 4 note that she has a permit through the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District for the <br /> operation of the rice dryer. <br /> Ms.Moffit was interviewed by telephone on November 30 20 which a she stated that the metal <br /> debris south of the irrigation canal on the subject property(�ection 3.1.8 as since been removed. She <br /> { stated that she did not observe any discolored soil beneath the debris. <br /> L <br /> 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION <br /> L3.1 Research Methods <br /> L NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the <br /> location of the subject property,a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, <br /> and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets <br /> within the quarter mile.
