During the dry season (May-October), provide equipment and staffing for watering all exposed or disturbed soil surfaces at least twice daily, including weekends and holidays. (2) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: ODORS As part of the facility operation, a number of potential odor sources are present. The solid waste itself is an obvious potential odor source. The unloading areas, equipment that comes in contact with waste, collection vehicles, and landfill transfer trailers are also potential odor sources. Statement of Fact: The impact will be reduced by the following: The proposed transfer operation shall be enclosed in a building to reduce exposure of waste to the atmosphere. The tipping floor shall be regularly swept with a mechanical sweeper. Transfer trucks and roll-off boxes shall be cleaned periodically in the wash station. Odor complaints shall be referred to the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District for processing under Rule 4107. F.
