FIRE MARSHAL: (Staff Contact: Steve Dalton,468-2229) (1) The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for a building permit: A. Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of public water mains(Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code) and static water supply (NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code). B. Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix III-B of the Uniform Fire Code. C. Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. D. All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems and water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with Section 904.3.1 of the California Fire Code. E. Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.2 of the California Fire Code and the standards adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association.
