'%.r 1.001, <br /> October 31,2003 <br /> NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE03-311 <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, Escalon, <br /> California,7.5 minute Series(topographic)quadrangle map. Maps available at NOA Environmental, <br /> the Cesar Chavez Central Library in Stockton, and Microsoft Terraserver were reviewed. The <br /> Escalon quadrangle was available for the years of 1953,1968, and 1989,and the Thalheim quadrangle <br /> was available for the year 1915. <br /> .— 1915 -Highway 120 and Steinegul Road are both shown,though unlabeled. The South San Joaquin <br /> Irrigation District Ditch is located to the north of the subject property. The subject property is shown <br /> to be vacant and is depicted at an elevation of approximately 130 feet above mean sea level. <br /> 1953 -Three buildings are now depicted on the subject property. A branch of the irrigation canal to <br /> the north runs along the northern boundary of the subject property. No further changes to the subject <br /> property and its immediate vicinity were discernible from the 1915 edition. <br /> 1968 - Land leveling appears to have taken place on and around the subject property. An <br /> unimproved road is now depicted in the southwest corner of the subject property, with five buildings <br /> arranged around it. A well is depicted at the northeast corner of the subject property. No further <br /> changes to the subject property and its immediate vicinity were discernible from the 1953 edition. <br /> 1989 - The branch of the irrigation canal along the northern boundary of the subject property is no <br /> longer visible. No further changes to the subject property and its immediate vicinity were discernible <br /> from the 1968 edition. <br /> These maps are included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject <br /> property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental <br /> Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr. Henry Van de Pol on September 29, <br /> 2003 for use by NOA for this report. A copy of the responses has been included in this report as <br /> Appendix E. All information provided by Mr. Van de Pol in this section has been drawn from his <br /> responses to the questionnaire. <br /> Mr. Van de Pol indicated that Van de Pol Farms purchased the subject property in 1980 and that the <br /> previous owner is unknown. He stated that the property is currently a vacant dairy and crop land, <br /> and that the property has only been used in his experience as a dairy and crop land. According to Mr. <br /> Van de Pol,the house and milk barn on the subject property were constructed in 1950-1960,one free <br /> 6 <br />
