i <br /> NORMA NORTON PROPERTY <br /> Page No. 2 <br /> IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> An existing home is located in the southeast corner .of the <br /> property. The house is 60+ years old and is utilizing a septic <br /> system. The original system .was replaced 20 years ago. The exact <br /> make-up of the replacement system is unknown by likely consists of <br /> shallow leach lines. There has been no problems with the system <br /> since installation. <br /> There are three neighbors that are in reasonably close <br /> proximity to the subject property. Two of these neighbors were <br /> able to be interviewed and this information is presented next: <br /> OWNER: Norton <br /> ADDRESS: 30705 E. Hwy 120 <br /> LOCATION: Adjacent to southwest corner of the property <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 32 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing system that existed from an old <br /> school that used to occupy the site. At the time <br /> the house was constructed, 32 years ago, a new <br /> leach line was added. Have had no problems with <br /> system. <br /> OWNER: Bagda <br /> ADDRESS: 18049 Enterprise Rd. <br /> LOCATION: Adjacent to northeast corner of the property <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 58 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing system that consists of septic tank <br /> and shallow leach lines. Added an additional leach <br /> line 10 years ago because system had started to <br /> back up. Have had no problems with it since the <br /> installation of the additional leach line. <br /> V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING <br /> According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in <br /> Wells, published spring 1994 by the San Joaquin County Flood <br /> Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater <br /> at this location is between 70 and 80 feet. <br /> There is a domestic water well located north of the existing <br /> home. This well was sampled November 18, 1994 and tested for the <br /> presence of nitrates And dibromochloropropane (DBCP) . Test results <br /> indicated the level of nitrates to be 8.2 mg/1, which is well below <br /> the Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) of 45 mg/1 and DBCP was non- <br /> detected.
