i NORMA NORTON PROPERTY Page No. 2 IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE An existing home is located in the southeast corner .of the property. The house is 60+ years old and is utilizing a septic system. The original system .was replaced 20 years ago. The exact make-up of the replacement system is unknown by likely consists of shallow leach lines. There has been no problems with the system since installation. There are three neighbors that are in reasonably close proximity to the subject property. Two of these neighbors were able to be interviewed and this information is presented next: OWNER: Norton ADDRESS: 30705 E. Hwy 120 LOCATION: Adjacent to southwest corner of the property AGE OF HOUSE: 32 years SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing system that existed from an old school that used to occupy the site. At the time the house was constructed, 32 years ago, a new leach line was added. Have had no problems with system. OWNER: Bagda ADDRESS: 18049 Enterprise Rd. LOCATION: Adjacent to northeast corner of the property AGE OF HOUSE: 58 years SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing system that consists of septic tank and shallow leach lines. Added an additional leach line 10 years ago because system had started to back up. Have had no problems with it since the installation of the additional leach line. V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in Wells, published spring 1994 by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater at this location is between 70 and 80 feet. There is a domestic water well located north of the existing home. This well was sampled November 18, 1994 and tested for the presence of nitrates And dibromochloropropane (DBCP) . Test results indicated the level of nitrates to be 8.2 mg/1, which is well below the Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) of 45 mg/1 and DBCP was non- detected.
